Ingredients:
- 1 box of Mrs. T’s Mini 4 Cheese Medley Pierogies
- 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup yellow onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup pecorino romano cheese, grated
- Fresh basil, to garnish
Directions
- In a pan on medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions and garlic for 4 minutes. Add chicken and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Add seasonings, tomato paste, and sun-dried tomatoes. Then, pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, and pecorino romano cheese. Stir and simmer on medium-low heat for 10 minutes.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Pour in Mrs. T’s Mini 4 Cheese Medley Pierogies, return to boil, and boil for 3 minutes. Drain the pierogies and add them to the sauce mixture. Stir until evenly coated. Garnish with pecorino romano cheese and chopped basil.
