How to Cook Pierogies

Cooking Instructions and Prep Methods
  • Sauté

    Medium Heat
    Butter or oil skillet and sauté.
    Full Size: 8 minutes per side
    Mini: 6 minutes per side

  • Bake Conventional Oven

    Preheat to 400°F
    Spray cooking sheet and both sides of frozen pierogies with nonstick cooking spray.
    Full Size: 18-20 minutes. Turn halfway.
    Mini: 16-18 minutes. Turn halfway.

  • Boil

    Boil 4 quarts of water and then add frozen pierogies. Return to boil.
    Full Size: Continue cooking for an additional 3 minutes. Drain and serve.
    Mini: Continue cooking for an additional 3 minutes. Drain and serve.

  • Deep-Fry

    Preheat fryer to 350°F
    Full Size: Cook 4 minutes or until browned and floating.
    Mini: Cook 3 minutes or until browned and floating.

  • Air Fryer

    Toss frozen mini pierogies in one tablespoon of olive oil. Place pierogies in an air fryer.
    Full Size: Cook pierogies at 400°F for 12-14 minutes. Shake air fryer basket halfway through cooking time.
    Mini: Cook pierogies at 400°F for 10-12 minutes. Shake air fryer basket halfway through cooking time. (Add extra time if you want crispier pierogies!)

  • Grill

    Preheat to 400°F
    Spray pierogies with olive oil or butter.
    Full Size: Cook for 10-12 minutes.
    Mini: Cook for 6-8 minutes.

  • Microwave

    In microwave-safe bowl, cover frozen pierogies completely with water and loosely cover bowl with plastic wrap.
    Full Size & Mini: Microwave on HIGH 7 minutes. Drain and serve.

  • Steam

    Place frozen pierogies in a slotted or solid pan with oil.
    Butter or oil skillet and sauté
    Full Size: Set timer for 10-12 minutes
    Mini: Set timer for 8-10 minutes
