Charitable Contributions

Mrs. T’s is committed to supporting local, nonprofit organizations through monetary donations, no-cost and reduced-cost product contributions. In keeping with our corporate mission, we strive to make people smile by strengthening our bond with the community.

In 2018, we provided monetary and product donations to more than 170 organizations. Additionally, we served pierogies at 14 local community events and the proceeds were donated to the organizing charity. We are also a significant contributor of the Schuylkill County United Way. Last year, Mrs. T’s was #1 in the medium size company category (201-400 employees) for the amount raised from an employee and corporate giving program.

Go Joe

Mrs. T’s is proud to be an annual sponsor of Joe Snedeker’s Go Joe Charity Bike Ride. Joe is WNEP’s Morning Meteorologist and has been committed to helping raise funds for the St. Joseph’s Center for more than 20 years!

Pierogi the Penguin

Mrs. T’s Pierogies was inspired by one of the newest additions at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, Pierogi – the Blue Penguin chick.  Cincinnatians chose the name “Pierogi” and Mrs. T’s was excited to support locals’ passion for pierogies.  Mrs. T’s sponsored the A.D.O.P.T. an Animal program, which provides food, toys and enrichment items, and became the presenting sponsor of the Penguin Parades that took place when temperatures were 50 degrees Fahrenheit and lower.

RailRiders

Mrs. T’s is the Official Pierogy provider of the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, for the 2019 season.  Our pierogies will be served deep fried and sautéed at the concourse concessions stands, BBQ stand in Right Field and in the Club Level.  Sit back and enjoy the newest in-game entertainment, the “Mrs. T’s Pierogy Run,” where a lucky contestant will have to beat the clock and fill the fryer basket with as many large pierogy pillows as possible.  We will also be the lead sponsor of the “Field of Dreams Theme Night” on July 5th to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this iconic baseball movie.

Pirates

Some baseball teams have racing presidents, some have sausages, but the Pittsburgh Pirates have pierogies – and locals wouldn’t have it any other way.  Since 2000, Mrs. T’s has sponsored the “Great Pittsburgh Pierogy Race,” which has become an iconic part of in-game entertainment for all Pirates baseball games at PNC Park.  Following the end of the 5th inning, the Pirates Pierogies (Pizza Penny, Bacon Burt, Cheese Chester, Jalapeno Hannah, Oliver Onion, Potato Pete or Sauerkraut Saul) take the field to run the 280-yard race around the ballfield. This year, consumers will be able to enter to win the opportunity to get on the field and be the finish line judge.
