Ingredients:
- 1 box Mrs. T’s Classic Cheddar Pierogies, frozen
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 pound shaved steak
- 1 teaspoon salt, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, divided
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose fl our
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs, fried
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Directions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add pierogies and cook, turning halfway though, until crisp, light golden brown and fully heated through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from pan and keep warm.
- Add shaved steak to same skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Season with half of the salt and half of the pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in fl our and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar, remaining salt and remaining pepper, stirring until completely melted.
- Place 2 pierogies onto each serving plate. Top each evenly with steak, fried egg and a generous spoonful of cheese sauce. Garnish with parsley, and serve.
