Classic Mac & Cheese Pierogies

Ingredients:
  • 1 1lb box of Mrs. T's Mini Classic Cheddar Pierogies
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. In a pan on medium low heat, add butter. When the butter is melted, stir in flour and combine until it forms a roux.
  2. Pour in whole milk, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper and stir until combined. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until the cheese sauce slightly thickens.
  3. Boil 4 quarts of water. Add frozen pierogies and return to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Drain pierogies and then combine with cheese sauce.
